“Ice Heart” in Times Square

Simultaneously architectural and organic, “Ice Heart” was a 10 foot high heart built of masonry-scaled blocks of ice in the center of Times Square. The artwork acted as kaleidoscope— magnifying and distorting the surrounding colors, textures and light. At night, the heart captured the spectacle of light in Times Square as it sat within a pool of subtle artificial moonlight.
