A new entry, library, classrooms, and administrative offices give a new heart to a suburban girls’ school. The buoyant and contemporary expansion complements the adjoining early 20th century mansion. Lighting increases transparency day and night—making glass-enclosed spaces into exterior luminous lanterns and facilitating interior views of the courtyard and surrounding landscape.
