Private Interiors

In our private work, we design with a radical sensitivity to the desired mood and emotional tone of the space. We look for the unique opportunities the architecture affords to create that intangible quality – atmosphere. Working closely with our clients , we create flexible, technically sophisticated, bespoke lighting programs that foster a range of emotional tones – intimate or convivial, contemplative or communal. Private Landscapes and Gardens

All our outdoor projects reflect an acute sensitivity to the physical character of the site, its local ecology, and desired emotional tone. Each topology requires a different balance between function and poetry, the technical and the ecological. The landscape architects and designers we work with include:

Outdoor Sculpture

We design custom lighting programs for sculpture in the landscape for museums, universities and private collectors. We create a unique nighttime presence for each work by tailoring our response to its form and materiality, the ambient light of the site and the artist’s vision. We have a passion for restraint and look always to determine, first, whether or not a sculpture should be lit at all, or softly illuminated by the ambient light of the night sky or the neighboring streetscape.
