The Parthenon in Centennial Park

As part of the master plan for Centennial Park, Nelson Byrd Woltz engaged Tillett Lighting Design Associates to re-light Nashville’s historic replica of the Parthenon. The lighting program is sensitive to both historic antecedents and contemporary needs. Cool white “moonlight” illuminates the Parthenon with fixtures that do not compromise the building’s integrity while a palette of programmable color, from fixtures tucked behind the columns, can be used for special events throughout the year.
